With the winemaking supervised by the talented Anne Le Naour and advised by the well-known consulting oenologist Hubert De Bouärd, Château Grand-Puy Ducasse has distinguished itself in recent vintages for the quality of its wines, worthy of the greatest Pauillac references.

The 2017 vintage saw a very careful and consistent attention paid to the vines throughout the vegetative cycle, harvests carried out only when the fruit had reached optimal maturity, and extremely precise parcel-by-parcel vinifications with meticulous selection. The Grand Vin of the estate, Château Grand- Puy Ducasse 2017 rewards all the hard work of the property’s technical team.

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (57%) and Merlot (43%), the Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2017 embodies the power and strength of great Pauillac wines. Aromas of black cherry, delicious aromas of dark chocolate and fresh cedar and subtle smoky notes of tobacco leaves come through on the nose, with an aromatic bouquet faithfully representing the style of the house. On the palate, the wine delivers a beautifully juicy texture, revealing the crunchiness of the fruit, while the tannic structure is balanced with a brilliant acidity. The palate stretches into a finish full of freshness. The excellence of a classic and timeless Pauillac.

The 2017 Grand-Puy-Ducasse is medium to deep garnet-purple colored with aromas of crushed red and black currants, black cherries and boysenberries with earth, meats and herbs touches. Medium-bodied, it is firm and rugged in the mouth with muscular fruit and a savory finish.
