Nomade de Haut-Batailley: A Limited Edition to Enjoy Wherever You Are

The Estate

A Fifth Growth in the Official Classification of 1855, Château Haut-Batailley is a benchmark of the Pauillac appellation. Its name derives from the word “bataille” (battle), in memory of the fighting said to have taken place on the estate at the end of the Hundred Years’ War, in the 15th century.

Since 2017, Château Haut-Batailley has been run by the Cazes family, who continue the work begun by the Borie family in 1930 and uphold the style and quality of this essential Médoc growth, on the left bank of the Bordeaux region.

The Vineyard

A benchmark among the great wines of Pauillac, Château Haut-Batailley oversees a terroir of some forty hectares, including 22 hectares of vines averaging 32 years of age and 19 hectares of young vines. This vineyard, located in the southern part of the appellation, rests on soils composed of Garonne gravel and clay.

A Portable Tasting Case in Limited Edition

Château Haut-Batailley unveils a new signature piece with “Nomade,” a portable tasting case designed in collaboration with Atelier Dahu, a Bordeaux leather craftsman of excellence. Conceived by Vincent Jacquinot, this bespoke case combines functionality and refinement: leathers from French tanneries, warm hues, hot-stamped markings, wax-finished edges, precisely adjusted straps, and meticulous assembly.

Designed to accompany the 2019 vintage, “Nomade de Haut-Batailley” brings together the essential serving accessories:

Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which are new.
