Description
An elegant and intense Côtes de Provence rosé wine
The estate
Located in the Le Luc en Provence area, Château La Mascaronne was acquired in 2020 by Michel Reybier, owner of the Saint-Estèphe Grand Cru Classé, Cos d'Estournel, who was eager to produce fine Côtes de Provence wines.
The vineyard
The estate watches over a 60-hectare single-plot vineyard, which has been farmed in an organic manner since 2016. In addition to this certification, all the grapes that make up the estate’s wines stem from the château's own vineyard.
This Château La Mascaronne 2021 comes from an extraordinary terroir. Located on a cliff side, the vineyard, mainly influenced by clay and limestone, is poised atop the estate's highest point and is at an altitude of 300 metres. The microclimate cools the vines at night. Enjoying a wonderful location and exposure, Château La Mascaronne’s land offers a natural ventilation and ideal sunlight, allowing the grapes to preserve their healthy condition.
The blend
Grenache (40%)
Cinsault (25%)
Syrah (20%)
Vermentino (15%).
