Description
A powerful and elegant Côtes de Provence rosé wine
The estate
Roger Zannier, owner of Quinta do Pessegueiro in the Douro Valley for over 25 years, acquired Château Saint-Maur in 2011 with the view to make his name in Côtes de Provence winemaking. Located a few kilometres from Saint-Tropez, Château Saint-Maur has been a Cru Classé since 1955.
The Château Saint-Maur vineyard covers some 100 hectares, planted on a clay-limestone terroir rich in schist and quartz.
The vineyard
Clos de Capelune 2022 from Château Saint-Maur is a Côtes de Provence wine developed from a meticulous selection of plots planted on clay-limestone soils rich in schist and quartz.
Winemaking and ageing
The grapes underwent cold maceration at a low temperature, followed by ageing in stainless steel.
