Domaine Marcel Deiss' 2010 Altenberg de Bergheim Grand Cru comes from a 13-grape variety blend co-planted on illustrious sites in the Alsace region.

The 2010 Altenberg de Bergheim Grand Cru displays a multifaceted, thick hue. The nose exudes rare complex and lively aromatic melange of fruits, sandstone minerals, and generous fall limestone.  To the palate, Domaine Deiss'2010 vintage offers great persistence and really intense lemon notes, candied in honey, with macerated exotic fruits. As one the most prestigious yield since 2005, The 2010 Altenberg de Bergheim Grand Cru is worth following for the next 20 to 30 years.

    Wine Advocate-Parker :
Golden in color, with an shimmer of apricots, the 2010 Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergheim opens with a terribly young, still phenolic, very clear and concentrated nose with mineral and spicy/oaky flavors. On the palate this is a highly concentrated, clear, elegant, fresh and tight Altenberg with good sweetness, piquancy and firm tannins. This wine will be great in 15-20 years, but I wouldn't touch it before. Remarkable finesse and concentration here. Tight tannins.
