Do you sell to the trade?
We are strictly dedicated to private individuals, due to the agreements we have with the various Châteaux and producing estates we work with.
Are invoices to be paid in GBP?
All invoices for purchases delivered to the United Kingdom are in GBP and can be paid by credit card or bank transfer in the same currency.
Do your prices include taxes and duties?
Yes, prices displayed on the website are inclusive of VAT and excise duties, excepting our en primeur wines, which are displayed in-bond ex-VAT.
As we are dedicated to private individuals, we declare and settle all local taxes and duties on your behalf. All you need to do is order, pay, and sign the delivery slip upon arrival — after having checked the integrity of your wine.
How may I order?
The best way is to place your order through our website, which allows you to create your personal file, secure the wine you wish to purchase, and arrange secure payment by credit card. Our team also remains at your disposal by e-mail or telephone should you need further information, advice, or assistance.
Do you have a shop in London?
We do not own any stock of wines in the UK. All our activities are managed from Bordeaux owing to its proximity to the producing estates. All wines are shipped directly from our cellars once they are fully paid for.
How long will the delivery take to the UK?
We arrange regular shipments from our cellars in Bordeaux to the UK. Once dispatched, delivery takes between 10 and 14 days. Our local carrier will then contact you to organise a delivery appointment according to your availability. Deliveries take place Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
We take into account external factors such as extreme weather or other extenuating circumstances — the integrity of the wines is a primary concern and we will not ship if conditions could cause any harm. We will notify you upon purchase of any suspension of our usual shipments.
Can I receive delivery on the weekend?
Deliveries are made during weekdays and business hours according to the appointed day agreed with our local carrier. A signature is required upon delivery.
What are your shipment and delivery costs?
Ready for delivery wines : delivery is free for orders over £250. Below this amount, a fixed delivery fee of £20 applies, regardless of the number of cases ordered. An additional fee applies for deliveries to the Northern Isles, Isle of Man, and Isle of Wight.
En primeur wines : delivery to a single address in mainland UK is free. An additional fee may apply for multiple delivery addresses.
Can you deliver to the Channel Islands?
Yes, we can deliver to the Channel Islands. Please contact us for additional information regarding delivery to Guernsey and Jersey. Additional delivery fees may apply.
Do you require a signature on delivery?
Yes, a signature is required upon delivery for insurance reasons. Upon reception, it is the responsibility of the addressee to check the state of the goods and to note any reserve concerning breakage, damage, or missing goods on the delivery slip. If the delivery slip does not indicate any reserve, Millésima is not obligated to provide compensation for this order.
The signatory must be over 18 years of age.
Do you ship in original wood cases (OWC)?
We offer our wines in the original packaging as provided by the producing estates. Each item is marked as either "case" (wooden case) or "box" (cardboard carton).
Is it possible to order wine and have it stored under bond?
We can ship any of our ready-for-delivery or en primeur wines to a certified bonded warehouse in the UK, providing you already have an account set up with them. Please note that our website does not currently recognise under-bond sales — once you place your order, we will amend it to match your requirements. Please indicate the name of the warehouse and your account reference at checkout.
We do not currently offer in-bond storage facilities of our own, either in the UK or in France.
When will my en primeur wine be delivered?
Once the wine is bottled and ready for shipment — approximately two years after the vintage (plus an additional year for certain wines from Sauternes and Barsac) — a final invoice will be sent for the corresponding amount of VAT and duties. We will also confirm your contact and delivery information at that time and make any necessary modifications.
How may I contact you? Is there someone I can meet in the UK?
We operate from Bordeaux, but our team will be delighted to answer all your queries, assist you in building your order, advise you in your selections, or provide updates on a delivery. You can reach them by e-mail at customer@millesima.com, on freephone 0800 917 0352, or via direct line at +44 (0)20 8089 1875. Please note there is a one-hour time difference between the UK and Bordeaux.
