Description
A fresh and fruity Sicilian white wine from Feudi del Pisciotto
The estate
Managed by Alessandro Cellai, Feudi del Pisciotto covers 43 hectares in the Val di Noto in Sicily, at the heart of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG appellation. Although its origins date back to the 1700s, the modern estate stands out for its unique collaborations with the big names in Italian fashion (Versace, Valentino, Missoni), who design its labels. The vineyard plantings mix traditional Sicilian grape varieties (nero d'avola, frappato) with international varieties, producing wines recognized worldwide, notably by Wine Spectator.
The vineyard
This Catarratto Colori di Sicilia is a Sicilian wine from vines grown in Niscemi, on medium-textured soils tending towards sandy. Located at 80 meters above sea level, they benefit from a favorable Mediterranean climate.
Winemaking and aging
The winemaking is carried out entirely in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and varietal aromas. Aging includes four months in steel followed by two months of bottle aging before release.
Grape variety
This 2024 Catarratto Colori di Sicilia from Feudi del Pisciotto is made from catarratto, an indigenous Sicilian grape variety that fully expresses its Mediterranean character here.
