Le Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases 2015

2015 Saint-Julien, Second wine from Chateau Leoville Las Cases, Bordeaux.

Those last few years several plots in the Clos Leoville Las Cases were pulled up then replanted, they are now entering production. In order to preserve the quality of their great wine, the Chateau Leoville Las Cases decided to create a Second Wine: Le Petit Lion du Marquis Las Cases. This 2015 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

The garnet wine reveals a strong nose that delicately opens up on blackberry, blueberry, tar notes and graphite aromas. The wine is extremely fruity, making it very seductive. The 2015 Le Petit Lion du Marquis Las Cases offers a medium-bodied palate with rather firm tannins. Notes of graphite echo the nose and reinforce the typical character of the Saint-Julien wines.
