The Grand Vin of Léoville du Marquis de Las Cases is a 2nd Classified Growth wine of the Saint-Julien appellation. Its vineyard extends over sixty hectares. The blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc.
On the nose, the Grand Vin of Léoville du Marquis de Las Cases 2009 appears to be concentrated and sweet. On the nose this wine gives off fragrances of black fruit jam, black cherry and kirsch fruit. One can also sense fantastic minerality in this wine. The tannins are present but very nice. The wine is precise, ample and of great purity. It has excellent potential for guard (40 to 50 years).
