The glassmaker

Masters in the delicate art of glassmaking, the Riedels form a true dynasty that has seen 11 generations succeed each other, each more talented than the last. For 260 years, this family has been crafting crystal glasses in Austria that highlight the unique style of wines and, more recently, the aromatic diversity of grape varieties.

The range

Conceived by master glassmaker Georg J. Riedel in 1986, the Vinum range embodies a timeless series of Riedel stem glasses dedicated to each grape variety. With their design thought out thanks to a perfect understanding of the typicities of wines according to the grape varieties, the Vinum glasses allow to reveal an impressive depth and a perfect balance. With this range, it is the content that determines the form.

The glass

Riedel Vinum Viognier/Chardonnay is a glass of a beautifully balanced shape that promises to reveal all the nobility of the Viognier and Chardonnay grape varieties. Indeed, the wine glass for Viognier and Chardonnay signed Riedel enhances the fragrant, fat and creamy character of Viognier as well as its rich aromas. In the same way, this glass offers the most beautiful expression of a full-bodied and elegant Chardonnay carried by aromas of white flowers, hazelnuts, almonds, brioche and citrus fruits.

White wines: Burgundy, Chablis, Côtes du Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Graves, Pessac-Léognan.

Made from the grape varieties: Viognier and Chardonnay but also Roussanne, Marsanne, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Grenache Blanc, Melon de Bourgogne and oak-aged Sauvignon Blanc.
