The Dominican Rum 11 Years Old 2013 perfectly illustrates Bristol Classic Rum’s expertise in selection and maturation. Distilled in the Dominican Republic in a column still from traditional molasses, this rum was carefully selected to join the House’s British warehouses.
Its production is based on a particularly meticulous double-maturation process: after an initial aging in American oak barrels, which gives it structure and vanilla notes, the rum is finished in Madeira casks. This second phase adds an extra dimension to the aromatic profile, with notes of candied fruit and a signature sweetness. Bottled at 47% ABV, this rum retains all of its aromatic power while preserving the balance and finesse sought by the bottler.
