Description
The concentration and fruitiness of a Scotch whisky by Michel Couvreur
Michel Couvreur, the visionary
Born in 1928 in Belgium, Michel Couvreur began his career as a wine merchant in Burgundy before becoming an independent whisky bottler. Known for his unique approach to aging, his distinctiveness lies in the art of maturing Scottish distillates in Sherry and Port casks within his Burgundian cellars, which offer ideal conditions for maturation. Appreciated for their complexity, these whiskies are produced in limited quantities and are highly sought after by connoisseurs.
Following his death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and Cellar Master Jean-Arnaud Frantzen, supported by Marthe, Michel's wife, and their daughter Alexandra, continue the philosophy of excellence and the pioneering vision of this renowned House.
An aromatic and silky, ephemeral cuvée
Limited to just 950 bottles, this 16-Year-Old Scotch whisky was aged in Vintage Port casks.
