The majestic aura of The Dalmore distillery
Founded in 1839, the The Dalmore distillery is nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, offering a majestic panorama over the shores of the North Sea. For nearly two centuries, this iconic house has made its way through the ages, driven by an unrelenting quest for perfection and a rich heritage. Behind its walls, many generations of master distillers have worked, infusing their passion and expertise to make Dalmore an undisputed reference in the world of luxury whiskies.
Dalmore Constellation 1973: an exceptional spirit
The Dalmore 1973 Cask 10 is part of the prestigious Constellation collection, a limited series of vintage whiskies that testify to the distillery's artisanal know-how. Each cuvée in this collection is carefully crafted to reflect the art of maturation and the pursuit of excellence.
Distilled in 1973, this single malt has benefited from exceptional aging, orchestrated by the Master Distiller, Richard Paterson. Indeed, the 32 years of aging in the best American white oak barrels are complemented by an additional 3 years of aging in a cabernet sauvignon barrel from Château Haut-Marbuzet (Saint-Estèphe Bordeaux appellation), followed by a final three-year period in a Kentucky bourbon barrel.
Each stage of its aging has thus been thought out to enhance its flavors and offer remarkable complexity. This rare whisky, signed by Paterson himself, stands out for its subtle balance between sweetness, fruitiness, and depth. A cuvée intended for discerning connoisseurs in search of a unique and incomparable sensory experience.
