Description
Characteristics and Tasting Tips for the Nobles Origines 2025 by Tardieu Laurent
Serving and cellaring
The Nobles Origines 2025 is ideally served at around 14.5°C, after decanting for approximately one hour, to fully reveal its fruit and its developing texture.
A rich and sensual Côtes du Rhône crafted by the house of Tardieu-Laurent
The estate
Founded in 1994 in Lourmarin, in the Luberon, Tardieu-Laurent is a négociant-éleveur in the Rhône Valley, created by Michel Tardieu and the Burgundy négociant Dominique Laurent. With no vineyards of its own, it relies on a network of partner growers spread across the Rhône's terroirs to select its grapes. Now run by the Tardieu family, it entrusts winemaking and ageing to Bastien Tardieu, who upholds a philosophy built on the selection of old vines and careful ageing in French oak barrels.
The vineyard
Nobles Origines is crafted from grapes sourced from renowned Rhône Valley crus, declassified to the Côtes du Rhône appellation, notably in Lirac, Rasteau, Vacqueyras, Beaumes-de-Venise and Cairanne. The vines used are predominantly old vines, planted on soils of sand and pebbles that favour the finesse of the tannins.
Winemaking and ageing
For the Nobles Origines 2025, currently available en primeur, the winemaking involves a proportion of whole bunches, which brings structure and spicy notes to the blend. Ageing takes place in French oak barrels and foudres, ahead of bottling planned without fining or filtration in order to preserve the wine's substance and the freshness of the fruit.
Grape varieties
The Nobles Origines 2025 blend is based mainly on Grenache, complemented by Syrah and Mourvèdre.
