The Taylor's Vintage Port 2016 is a blend of the finest wines from the estate's three estates: Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita and Quinta de Junco. Each of these properties located in the Duriense region of Portugal is home to its very own terroir, lending the wine exceptional richness and complexity.
Although the grape harvests began late, at the end of September 2016, the weather conditions of the 2016 vintage resulted in perfectly ripe grapes with perfectly balanced fruit.
The Taylor's Vintage Port 2016 is beautiful, presenting an aromatic palette of intense fruit and complex aromas. The delicate fruit notes are enhanced by aromas of fresh plum and raspberry, all revealing a discreet woody quality. With aeration, the wine reveals the full extent of its personality, unfolding elegant floral notes with scents of rose and jasmine. On the palate, this Port wine explodes with flavour, developing the same notes perceived on the nose, while displaying a firm structured and finely grained, silky tannins. The finish stretches forward in a length marked by a nice acidity.
