The estate
Established on the viticultural landscape of Veneto in Italy since 1542, the Bisol family passionately perpetuates the art of Prosecco, which has been passed down from generation to generation. The Bisol estate overlooks an exceptional vineyard located on the steep hills of Conegliano and in the prestigious terroir, Cartizze.
The Bisol family’s vineyards are selected for the exceptional quality of their plots, which enjoy a rare terroir. The sandy nature of the soil, as well as constant ventilation and humidity, allow the berries to gently ripen and reach an optimal phenolic phase.
The vineyard
The Cartizze Dry by the Bisol estate is produced from a south-facing vineyard which peaks at an altitude of 300 metres and is protected from cold currents. These conditions are perfect for ensuring optimal ripeness levels for the grapes dedicated to this cuvée’s production.
Blend
The Cartizze Dry 2017 from the Bisol family is made from at least 85% Glera. This cuvée is produced in the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze D.O.C.G appellation, which lies at the height of the hierarchy of Italian appellations.
Tasting
Colour
The wine is a beautiful straw yellow colour adorned with subtle green highlights. The effervescence is delicate and persistent.
Nose
The intense nose elegantly mixes fruity and floral notes.
Palate
The palate seduces with its perfect balance between sweetness, aromatic richness and an elegant acidity. The palate unveils a persistent and indulgent freshness throughout the tasting.
The 2017 Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Dry is a fragrant sparkling wine that opens to aromas of white flower, peach blossom and honey. The wine enters the palate with thick, foamy beading and offers a point of soft sweetness on the close. That mild residual sugar serves to underline the plump and lush nature of the fruit flavors you get here in such generous supply. This would make a nice appetizer with lobster bites on crostini with chives and lemon juice.
