Description
The balance and aromatic expression of a white wine from Piedmont
The estate
Borgogno is one of the oldest producers in the Langhe area and the Piedmont region and is a key reference among fine Italian wines. Founded in 1761, the Borgogno estate enjoyed a major international growth in the 1920s, under the impetus of Cesare Borgogno. The Farinetti family acquired the estate in 2008. Andrea Farinetti has been at the helm of the estate since 2010.
The vineyard
The vineyard of the Borgogno estate is managed in a sustainable manner and without the use of chemical inputs. It covers 30.8 hectares of vines and is planted on a soil composed of clay-limestone marl which contributes to the unique signature style of the estate's wines.
