The purity and tension of a white Burgundy wine
The estate
Founded in 2003 following the division of the family estate, Domaine Bruno Colin is located in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, in Burgundy. Run by Bruno Colin, this 8.75-hectare estate spans prestigious appellations of the Côte de Beaune. Renowned for his exacting vision, the winemaker crafts wines praised by critics for their purity, tension and minerality. The estate also stands out for its commitment to environmentally friendly viticulture, treating its regional appellations with the same care as its Premiers Crus.
The vineyard
This Burgundy wine comes from a small 0.80-hectare plot in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet. Rooted in clay-limestone soils typical of the region, the vines were planted in several stages (1981, 2000, 2023 and 2025). The vineyard is farmed organically, with mechanical tillage of the soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, with rigorous sorting directly in the vineyard to ensure optimal fruit health.
Vinification and ageing
Winemaking is carried out with minimal intervention. The Bourgogne Chardonnay 2024 is aged for twelve months in 350-litre oak barrels, 15 to 20% of which are new. The wine then rests in tank for four to six months before bottling, preserving all the freshness and identity of the terroir.
Grape variety
100% Chardonnay.
