Located in the southern part of Gevrey-Chambertin, the 2012 Charmes-ChambertinGrand Cru from Domaine Chanson gets its name from its exceptional climate. The Pinot Noirvineyard grows halfway up the hill and enjoys an East orientation with a mainly calcareous-clay soil. The Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Chanson was aged in oak barrels for 18 months. The purple-tinted deep ruby colour foreshadows a dense, structured and deep wine. A good aromatic intensity is dominated by lush aromas of small red berries and delicious chocolate notes. This Burgundy wine reveals character, depth and refinement.
