Description
The freshness and balance of a white wine from the Rhône Valley
The estate
Established in the 16th century, Château de Beaucastel was taken over in the early 20th century by Pierre Tramier. His son-in-law, Pierre Perrin, gave the estate fresh momentum, while Jacques Perrin greatly expanded its international reputation. Today, Jacques Perrin’s sons and grandsons continue this family estate’s pursuit of excellence, making it one of the most emblematic producers of wines from the Rhône Valley.
The vineyard
Château de Beaucastel farms a single 110-hectare vineyard located in the northern part of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Certified organic since the 1960s, the vines are rooted in soils with surface galets roulés over layers of clay, sand, and limestone. Seven hectares are devoted to white wines.
Winemaking and aging
Hand harvesting, sorting of bunches, picking into small crates, pneumatic pressing, settling, fermentation in barrels and tanks. Aging in barrels and tanks.
Blend
This 2024 Château de Beaucastel is a blend of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Picardan, Clairette, and Bourboulenc.
