Characteristics and Tasting Advice of Château Fleur Cardinale 2024
Tasting
Color
This wine captivates with the finesse of its Nose, where aromas of dark berries, iris and graphite intertwine, heightened by a touch of sweet spices, red plum and fresh almond skin.
Nose
On the Palate, the attack, both clear and delicate, opens onto an ample and silky mid-palate, driven by intense Morello cherry flavors. The tannic structure, elegant and refined, reflects the full nobility of the terroir. The finish, long and savory, reveals subtle iodized notes, a promise of a bright future for this wine with a pronounced character.

Winemaking and Aging
Manual harvest in small crates is followed by rigorous sorting in the vineyard. Destemming then density sorting before a final manual sort. Gravity filling into the vats. Short pre-fermentation cold maceration under inert gas protection. Integral vinification in 20 truncated conical vats and 12 temperature-controlled vats. Extraction by pump-overs. Gentle maceration at the end of fermentation. Aging was conducted in French oak barrels (36% new, 20% one-wine), in new demi-muids (25%), in 30 hl foudres (10%), in 500 L one-wine barrels (7%) and in amphorae (2%).
Blend
70% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 10% cabernet sauvignon.
