A fine wine from Fronsac by Francs Magnus
The estate
Château Francs Magnus is located in the Fronsac appellation. Situated on the right bank of Bordeaux, this property offers wines in a style typical of its appellation.
The vineyard
The 20-hectare vineyard of Château Francs Magnus is planted in clay-limestone soils upon an important limestone plateau.
The winemaking
Sorting not followed by crushing to preserve the fruit. Daily pump-overs and punch-downs.
The ageing
12 to 14 months. French oak barrels (40 to 30% new, depending on the tannins).
The blend
Merlot (90%), cabernet franc (10%).
