Description
A rich and delicate Fronsac wine
The estate
Owned by the Hervé family with a first vintage made in 1890, Château Moulin Haut-Laroque is located in the Fronsac appellation, on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Driven by the dynamism of the Hervé family and equipped with a state-of-the-art vat room, the estate is one of the jewels of the Fronsac appellation thanks to its wines revealing all the typicality of this great terroir.
The vineyard
Château Moulin Haut-Laroque 2022 is a Fronsac wine from a 16-hectare vineyard. The vines are 60 years old on average and are planted on sloping hillsides with clay and limestone soils that enjoy excellent exposure.
Winemaking and ageing
Hand-picked, the grapes are triple sorted with total destemming and handling of the grapes entirely by gravity. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Fermentation takes place exclusively in barrels with extra-fine grapes. The wine is aged for 18 months in new barrels (40%) as well as one and two year old barrels.
Blend
Château Moulin Haut-Laroque 2022 is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec.
