Description
The elegance of a fine red wine from Médoc
The estate
Located in the north of the Médoc, west of the Bordeaux region, Château Potensac has been in the same family for many generations. This property has always been passed down from mother to daughter. Today, Jean-Hubert Delon, grandson of Georgette Liquard, is entrusted with the château, which is considered an iconic estate in the northern Médoc.
The vineyard
The Château Potensac vineyard represents 70 hectares of vines in the heart of the Médoc. The vines are planted on clay-gravelly ridges resting on a limestone subsoil. The harvest took place from September 21 to October 9, 2019.
The blend
Merlot (47%), cabernet sauvignon (36%), cabernet franc (16%), petit verdot (1%).
The tasting
Tasted en primeur, the Château Potensac 2019 is a classic and elegant Bordeaux wine. This complex wine reveals notes of cinnamon and liquorice on a fresh bouquet. On the palate, the Potensac 2019 expresses a beautiful tannic structure, stretching into an elegant finish.
