Description
The refinement and aromatic expression of a Saint-Estèphe red wine
The estate
One of the oldest crus in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, the history Château Tronquoy-Lalande dates back to the 18th century. The estate has belonged to the Bouygues family since 2006.
The vineyard
Situated near the Garonne River, Château Tronquoy-Lalande watches over a vineyard of nearly 30 hectares, planted on gravelly soil.
The vintage
The exceptionally mild and dry weather conditions during sring favoured an early bud burst. The flowering phase was marked by thunderstorms and heavy rainfall, which did not impact the vineyard thanks to the deep gravelly soils which ensured an excellent drainage and maintained the vineyard’s perfect health. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness from September 20th to October 6th.
The blend
This Château Tronquoy-Lalande 2007 is a blend of Merlot (58%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Petit Verdot (12%).
The tasting
Colour
Dark and deep, the colour is a beautiful deep red.
Nose
Complex, the nose exudes spicy and fruity fragrances.
Palate
Full and silky, this wine seduces the palate with its spicy aromas, its fine tannins and its long finish.
