Characteristics and Tasting Notes for the "Brama" Biancu Gentile 2025 by Clos Venturi
Tasting Notes
Appearance
This wine reveals a pale yellow hue enhanced by delicate lemony highlights.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with notes of broom flower and spices, delicately lifted by a subtle touch of curry.
Palate
Full-bodied and remarkably precise, the palate captivates with its fine structure and noble bitterness, unfolding into a long, saline, and deeply mineral finish.
Food and Wine Pairing
This white wine pairs beautifully with a rosemary-crusted sea bream fillet served with a lemon-verbena vierge sauce, or with green asparagus glazed in Corsican mandarin. It will also enhance fine fish, shellfish, a lamb and vegetable tagine, or Corsican sheep's and goat's milk cheeses.
Serving and Cellaring
The "Brama" Biancu Gentile 2025 can be cellared and enjoyed until approximately 2032.
The Elegance and Minerality of a White Wine by Clos Venturi
The Estate
Born from the finest terroirs of the historic Vico estate, Clos Venturi officially became a distinct entity in 2005. Located in Ponte-Leccia, in the heart of Corsica's mountains, this estate spans a vineyard of 25 hectares. A pioneer of biodynamic viticulture on the island, the estate is dedicated to showcasing native grape varieties through a rigorous plot-by-plot approach. Today, Emmanuel Venturi leads the estate, carrying on the family's commitment to producing distinctive, pure wines deeply marked by their high-altitude terroir.
The Vineyard
Classified as Vin de France, this wine comes from a high-altitude vineyard located in the center of the island, far from maritime influences. The vines thrive on schist soils at the base of the hillsides, benefiting from an ideal south and southeast exposure for balanced ripening. The mountain climate, marked by cool nights, preserves the freshness and tension of the grapes. The entire vineyard is farmed according to organic and biodynamic principles, with controlled yields and hand-harvested grapes.
Winemaking and Aging
For the "Brama" Biancu Gentile 2025, the grapes are fully destemmed before undergoing an eight-day cold pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation begins naturally with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks. The wine is then aged on fine lees for six to eight months, enhancing its complexity and texture. Bottling is carried out without fining, with only a very light filtration.
