Nose
The olfactory bouquet opens with expressive aromas of white peach and elderflower, accompanied by lively notes of makrut lime and freshly squeezed lemon.
Palate
The palate reveals a bright and layered texture, unveiling flavors of lemon curd and white nectarine. The structuring acidity brings an immediate lemony freshness, while a discreet salinity and nuances evoking coastal vegetation enrich the ensemble. The finish stands out for its crispness and elegant persistence.
Food and wine pairings
This Sauvignon Blanc pairs harmoniously with fresh seafood, summer vegetables as well as dishes with spicy and vibrant flavors. Grilled Shishito peppers are a particularly recommended accompaniment.

A Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with precise aromatic expression and dazzling freshness
The estate
Established in 1985 by David Hohnen in the Marlborough region, Cloudy Bay quickly established itself as a benchmark in New Zealand viticulture. Part of the LVMH group, the estate has contributed to the international renown of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard extends primarily in the Wairau Valley on free-draining gravelly terroirs, producing notably the famous Sauvignon Blanc that forged Marlborough's international reputation.
The vineyard
The grapes come mainly from the free-draining gravelly soils of the Wairau Valley in Marlborough. The selected plots include the Estate, Motukawa, Widow's Block, Red Shed and Mustang vineyards, offering optimal conditions for the expression of Sauvignon Blanc.
The vintage
The 2025 vintage is characterized by early budbreak and particularly warm flowering in December, generating bunches of exceptional size. The ripening season proved considerably prolonged, allowing for patient waiting for optimal flavor and concentration conditions. The harvest began on March 17, with an intensification of pace starting March 26, concluding on April 2. Stable weather conditions allowed for plot-by-plot harvesting, taking into account the maturity and acidity-sugar balance of each batch.
Winemaking and aging
After pressing and cold settling of the free-run juice, fermentation of the Sauvignon Blanc 2025 takes place mainly in stainless steel tanks. A small proportion (1.8%) ferments in large oak casks at a higher temperature, while a small part is conducted with indigenous yeasts, bringing additional texture and complexity to the final blend.
