Inky dark purple core and hue. Youthful aromas of smoked meat, ripe blackberry, cassis and black pepper. The palate shows nice density and concentration, ripe yet fresh black fruit with a meaty and peppery spiciness, grainy tannins and a fresh backbone of acidity, yet plenty of warmth and generosity leading to a long, fleshy finish.

Tasted pre-bottling. Expressive on wild herbs with Mediterranean aromas, a well-shaped palate that’s sleek and juicy, and a well-balanced finish.

We are delighted to find a more fruity and dynamic wine. The oak is still a bit present, with a smoky note, but it has substance.
