The Estate

Founded in 2006, Domaine Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot is the result of a partnership between two Burgundian winemakers. Located in the Languedoc, at the heart of the Minervois, this twenty-hectare estate is today run by its founders, Anne Gros and Jean-Paul Tollot. The estate stands out for its determination to combine the precision of Burgundian winemaking with the richness of Mediterranean grape varieties. Working the vines by hand and with respect for the environment, the owners craft wines renowned for their freshness, energy and faithful expression of their high-altitude terroir.

The Vineyard

Classified as IGP Pays de l'Hérault Côtes du Brian, the terroir from which this wine originates lies at around 220 metres above sea level, at the foot of the Montagne Noire. The vines, aged between 10 and 50 years, thrive on varied soils composed of sandstone, marl and clay-limestone. Surrounded by garrigue, this vineyard benefits from a slow ripening of the grapes, favouring an ideal balance between maturity and freshness. The vines are cultivated using sustainable farming methods, with entirely hand-picked harvests.

Winemaking and Ageing

The winemaking process draws inspiration from Burgundian methods, with full destemming of the bunches to preserve the finesse of the tannins. To maintain the vibrancy of the fruit and the tension of the wine, both vinification and ageing take place exclusively in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with no time spent in oak barrels.

This wine is crafted from a blend dominated by Grenache, complemented by Syrah, Carignan and sometimes Cinsault.
