A fresh and rich white wine from Mâcon-Azé
The estate
Taken over by the Beaumont family in 2008, Domaine de la Garenne reigns over an exceptional vineyard that rests on the slopes of Azé, in the Mâconnais, near Cluny. Following the marriage of Pauline Beaumont and Amaury Devillard, Domaine de la Garenne has been working with the Devillard family since 2008.
The vineyard
This Macon-Azé wine by Domaine de la Garenne is made from vines planted in 1986 in the commune of Azé. The south-east facing vines are planted on limestone soils.
Vinification and ageing
Manual harvesting. Rigorous sorting before total destemming. Pressing, cold static settling. Alcoholic fermentation in vats at low temperature before 100% malolactic fermentation. Aged for 12 months in stainless steel vats on fine lees.
