The estate

Long established in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Armenier family gave Domaine de Marcoux its present-day identity at the end of the 20th century. Located in the Rhône Valley, the estate has its winery in Orange, to the north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It cultivates vines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac and Côtes du Rhône. A pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in the appellation, it is certified organic. It is now run by Sophie Armenier, alongside her son Vincent Estevenin.

The vineyard

This Côtes du Rhône comes from two small plots in the commune of Orange, on the northern edge of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The soils are composed of alluvium and clay. The vines are cultivated organically and biodynamically.

Vinification and ageing

This 2024 Côtes du Rhône is vinified by Domaine de Marcoux using indigenous yeasts, without the use of new oak. It is aged in concrete tanks in order to preserve the expression of the fruit and the terroir.
