The estate

Founded in 1994 by Stéphane and Sandrine Robert, Domaine du Tunnel spans 12 hectares in the Rhône Valley, spread across Cornas, Saint-Péray, Saint-Joseph and Condrieu. Stéphane Robert, originally from the Jura and trained by renowned Rhône winemakers, has made this property a reference in the Northern Rhône. The name of the estate comes from an old railway tunnel from the early 20th century, converted into an aging cellar in 2014. The wines, born from granitic soils and old vines, are crafted artisanally with a focus on manual work and pure vinification methods.

The vineyard

This Cornas stems from a blend of around fifteen plots located in different lieux-dits: Combes, les Côtes, les Mazards, Cayret and Patou.

Winemaking and aging

The vinification of this Cornas 2023 takes place in stainless steel vats for three weeks. The wine is then aged in barrels for 14 months.

Grape variety

This Rhône Valley wine is made exclusively from Syrah.
