The estate

Established in Nuits-Saint-Georges since 1825, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Faiveley is among the most renowned estates in Burgundy. Since 2005, the seventh generation, represented by Erwan and Eve Faiveley, has passionately continued the family tradition. With a vineyard spanning over 120 hectares, the estate stands out for its scale and prestige, owning remarkable plots in Grands Crus and Premiers Crus.

The vineyard

Originally based in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Faiveley has gradually expanded its vineyards into the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Today, it holds 12 Grands Crus and 25 Premiers Crus of Bourgogne, an exceptional heritage. The “Champ Gain” plot, covering 10 hectares, is located just below “La Garenne,” on the upper slopes of the vineyard. Its name refers to “land gained from the forest.” Domaine Faiveley has owned it since 2014.

The wine

"Les Montroziers" is a Nuits-Saint-Georges wine that highlights Maurice Colrat de Montrozier, who was a statesman and a witness at the June 1945 wedding of Guy and Yvonne Faiveley. This wine is made from two vineyards totaling 4.84 hectares, spread from north to south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, from the foot to the top of the slopes. The “Argillats” climat, known for its stony soils, brings aromatic finesse, while the “Lavières” climat, where the vines are rooted in flat soils composed of marl, silt, and hard limestone, provides concentration and depth.

Grape variety

100% Pinot Noir.
