The 2022 Moulin-à-Vent Vignes du Tremblay offers slightly darker fruit on the nose than the Empreinte cuvée; it's a little more cohesive and complex. The palate is, again, sweet on the entry with candied orange peel mixed with kirsch and cranberry. Smooth in texture, there is decent length here, though it doesn't quite match the level of the most engaging wines of the appellation.

Vigne du Tremblay remains a cuvée that every lover of great Beaujolais should have in their cellar. It expresses the quintessence of Gamay, with well-defined fruit and tannins worthy of the great Moulin-à-Vent, while handling vintages like 2022 perfectly.
