The estate

Founded in 1859 by cooper Jean-Edouard Dupard, Domaine Jean Chartron is one of the most prestigious estates in Puligny-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. Year after year, five generations of enthusiasts have succeeded one another, fervently sharing their love of the great terroirs of Burgundy. Driven by the same passion as his ancestors, Jean-Michel Chartron has now taken over the reins of the estate and oversees the 14.5 hectares of vines he has gradually built up. A true virtuoso, he is renowned for his commitment to maintaining the integrity of each plot and creating wines that are true to their original terroir.

The vineyard

The prestigious Burgundy vineyards, managed using sustainable farming methods, include exceptional plots such as the Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru "Clos des Chevaliers" and the Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru "Clos du Cailleret" and "Clos de la Pucelle." With their exceptional terroirs, these three monopolies are at the heart of this unique presentation case.

The Clos des Centenaires Trilogy case

The Clos des Centenaires Trilogy is a presentation case celebrating the hundredth vintage made by the estate from the three finest plots of land, acquired respectively in 1917. To mark this milestone anniversary, the grapes from the oldest vines in each vineyard have been vinified independently. After a year's ageing, the best barrel from each vineyard was selected and bottled.

Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru "Clos des Chevaliers" 2017

Remarkably typical, the Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru "Clos des Chevaliers" 2017 offers subtlety both on the nose and on the palate. It has an elegant, luminous colour, exuding aromas of flowers and honey. Its aromatic complexity on the palate evokes sublime notes of brioche, peach and musk.

Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru "Clos du Cailleret" 2017

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos des Caillerets stands out for its persistence and character. With notes of toast, it has an intense richness. It is a generous, smooth wine with hints of ripe apple and walnut - perfect to accompany shellfish.
