Description
The elegance and aromatic purity of a German red wine
The estate
Markus Molitor is an estate in the Mosel, Germany, named after its founder. Markus Molitor took over his father's exceptional wine house in 1984 at the age of 20. He represents the eighth generation of his family to cultivate wine. It was he who gave his name to the estate, reflecting his ambition to restore Mosel Riesling to its former glory.
The vineyard
Graacher Himmelreich*** 2019 Pinot Noir from Markus Molitor is made from some of the Mosel's most famous and steepest vineyards.

Winemaking and ageing
Virtually complete destemming before maceration, followed by spontaneous fermentation for 4 to 6 weeks. Gentle pressing was followed by ageing in French barrels for 18 to 24 months.
