Description

Characteristics and Tasting Tips for Château Minuty 281 2025

Tasting

Appearance

The color stands out for its clarity and brilliance, revealing a pale hue adorned with pearly highlights.

Nose

Expressive and elegant, the nose unfolds a fine aromatic complexity with notes of exotic fruits and flowers.

Palate

The palate is generous and aromatic, carried by a distinctive saline minerality. The lively attack brings tension and length, in a remarkable balance.

Food and Wine Pairings

This exceptional rosé pairs perfectly with seafood such as grilled lobster or a scallop risotto. It also enhances spicy dishes like lacquered duck or veal curry, as well as yakitori. For a summery touch, it is ideally matched with composed salads combining lobster, avocado and grapefruit, or with refined red-berry desserts.

Serving and Cellaring

Château Minuty 281 2025 is ideally enjoyed between 10 and 12°C, served in stemmed glasses. This wine has a cellaring potential of up to around 24 months.

A Characterful Rosé from Côtes de Provence

The Estate

Built during the reign of Napoleon III, Château Minuty was purchased in 1936 by Gabriel Farnet, who set out to restore it to its former splendor. Thus, in 1955, the estate entered the small circle of the 23 Crus Classés among the wines of Côtes de Provence. The property then crossed paths with Monique and Etienne Matton who, thanks to their dedicated work, greatly helped establish the reputation of Château Minuty at the finest tables along the French Riviera. Today, brothers Jean-Etienne and François Matton are proudly carrying on the legacy while instilling a modern spirit in the estate.

The Vineyard

The 281 cuvée, created in 2015, comes from coastal plots benefiting from an exceptional maritime terroir within the AOP Côtes de Provence appellation. This privileged geographic location gives the wine its particularly airy, iodine-tinged character.

Winemaking and Aging

Château Minuty 281 2025 is crafted using a rigorous approach that favors plot selection. The hand-harvested grapes are followed by a selection of free-run juices. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperature, without malolactic fermentation, thereby preserving the wine’s freshness and aromatic expression.
