"As a simple wine grower who is passionately attached to his vines, it pleases me to convey the efforts undergone to obtain these essentially natural and famous wines, whose perfection and health benefits are a subject of legitimate pride to all of us.
It is a well-known fact: to be and to remain the owner of a well-respected vineyard, one must be endowed with a real aristocracy that identifies itself with the vineyard and the wine.
Everything must be sacrificed for this, beginning with interests (…). In order to be a grand cru owner, you must in some way be in love with it...”
Désiré Cordier (1861 – 1940)
In honour of the 100th anniversary of Cordier family’s acquisition of Château Talbot, we are exceptionally offering you access to old vintages of this emblematic cru from the Saint-Julien appellation, in very limited quantities only.
On the An archetype of great Médoc with a complex nose featuring palate, we fi nd the same complexity of fl avours, accompanied by a dense and mellow structure. The fi nish is marked by a beautifully harmonious tannin, typical of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Presentation of this wine in the glass is excellent. The With its layered tones and beautiful depth of colour, the
olfactory sensations are quite remarkable, offering great complexity and blending woody notes with fruity ones. A powerful vintage, whose tannins are now perfectly integrated, but still promising a bright future of ageing ahead.
Notes of black tea and tobacco leaf Fine attack on the nose: red cherries, bergamot tea and in the mouth, blackberry and dried red berries. This wine has a nice sweetness and a lot of length. A wine in its fullness, radiant, as the vintage suggests.
The bouquet is fresh and vigorous with black fruits,
undergrowth notes, chocolate and a light touch of
balsamic. The palate reveals fi ne but fi rm tannins, dark fruit, tobacco,
and a touch of dark chocolate. This is a classic Talbot par excellence,
Mature brick red tones in the glass. A ripe and complex
nose: dried herbs, blond tobacco, leather. Supple on the
palate, with a beautiful smoothness. Balanced, yet fresh, despite the age
of the wine. This wine shows in the glass its maximum potential, but can
still be aged longer in the bottle.
Notes of lightly candied fruit and menthol. Very fi ne,
remarkable nose. Fine and elegant palate, with a beautiful
structure and a full length. The fi nish is marked by notes of cigar and
plum, seducing with its beautiful liveliness.
