Of a deep red colour with purple hues, the Penfolds RWT Shiraz 2010
reveals a nose of blackberry, blueberry, plum along with meat, spices and minerality. On the palate is wide and dense with velvety tannins and a very long finish. Flavours of chocolate, red fruits and coffee are still very present and luscious. In 1995 the RWT or "Red Winemaking Project
" started at the Penfolds
Estates, aiming at developing a red wine from Syrah vines of a single region, the Barossa Valley. The result is a very fruity wine, supple and of a more elegant and finer texture.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 RWT Shiraz presents aromas of cassis, black cherries and mulberries with hints of dark chocolate, anise and lavender. Medium to full-bodied, it is intensely fruited, has firm, rounded tannins plus great freshness and vibrancy. It is still very youthful.
