The estate
Officially established in 2023, the Pinard Brothers brand embodies the innovative project of brothers Florent and Clément Pinard, based in Bué in the Sancerre region. Led by Florent as President and Clément as Managing Director, this structure farms around 2 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc under certified organic and biodynamic viticulture. What sets Pinard Brothers apart is its original model: the brothers cultivate parcels by developing partnerships with landowners while applying their rigorous methods, enabling them to explore new Sancerre terroirs with precise parcel-by-parcel expression.
The vineyard
Sancerre Blanc Les Grands Champs comes from the eponymous lieu-dit located in the commune of Sancerre. The vineyard lies on a Kimmeridgian terroir of caillottes—those limestone stones typical of the Sancerre area—over a limestone subsoil. The vines, averaging 50 years of age, are planted between 250 and 275 meters above sea level and are farmed under certified organic viticulture (AB Ecocert), without herbicides, favoring soil work by plowing, hoeing, and pick work.
Vinification and aging
After a long pneumatic pressing, Sancerre Blanc Les Grands Champs 2023 is vinified with indigenous yeasts produced from parcels of Domaine Vincent Pinard. Aging takes place over 11 months in amphora, demi-muids, and stainless steel tanks. The wine is neither fined nor filtered.
Grape variety
This Loire wine is 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
