The story of Château La Connivence is above all a story of friendship between three wine-loving friends who decided to create a "very good wine". The superb Pomerol appellation became the cradle of the connivance that united the three owners: Johan Micoud, a former international footballer, Matthieu Chalmé, a former Girondins de Bordeaux player, and Alexandre de Malet Roquefort, owner of Château La Gaffelière in St Emilion. To honour the superb Pomerol appellation, Château La Connivence is committed to environmentally-friendly, integrated wine production. The soil is ploughed in the traditional way, and the care given to the vines is justified by observations made in the field. The work carried out on the estate's vines is selective and the use of phytosanitary products is strictly controlled.
