The Pichler-Krutzler estate was born in 2006 from the desire of two wine lovers, Elizabeth Pichler-Krutzler and Erich Krutzler, to produce unique wines with great character while respecting nature. With plots of land running alongside the Danube, the winery benefits from the region's typical climate and geology. The vines of the Pichler-Krutzler estate are deeply rooted in a terroir characterised by dry stone walls and steep slopes. Both cool due to the forests to the north and mild due to the warm air currents typical of Central Europe, the complex climate of the Wachau is also regulated by the river itself. The richness of this exceptional terroir ensures a wide variety of wines.

By producing quality wines from the five best vineyards in the Wachau according to the prestigious Wine Enthusiast magazine, the Pichler-Krutzler estate has already established its reputation around the world.
