Description
An aromatic and beautifully fresh vintage Prosecco Superiore
The estate
The story of the Adami estate began in 1920, following Abele Adami’s purchase of a vineyard located in a natural amphitheatre on the hills of Valdobbiadene, in Veneto. Situated in north-east Italy, this estate is known for the quality of its cuvées, produced in the appellations of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG and DOC Cartizze.
The vineyard
This Col Credas – Rive di Farra di Soligo Brut 2019 cuvée by Adami is produced from a vineyard located at an average altitude of 350 to 400 metres. The vines are planted on clayey, shallow soils. The term "Rive" refers to the steep vineyards located on south- and southeast-facing hillsides.
Winemaking and ageing
Light pressing is followed by a gravity-fed settling of the musts. Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures (17-19°C) with yeasts cultivated by the estates. Ripening on fine lees lasts for 3 months in tanks. The second fermentation, at 15-17°C, is followed by cold, tartaric stablisation (-4°C).
Blend
The Col Credas – Rive de Farra di Soligo Brut 2019 by Adami is 100% Glera.
Tasting
Colour
The wine’s straw yellow colour highlights a fine and persistent effervescence.
Nose
The balanced nose exhales floral (wisteria, acacia) and fruity (crisp apple and pear) fragrances.
Palate
The ample palate seduces with its freshness, aromatic richness and length up to a indulgent finish.
Food and wine pairings
The Col Credas – Rive de Farra di Soligo Brut 2019 by Adami goes perfectly with light entrées, seafood and fish (e.g. a bass fillet with dried tomatoes and hazelnuts).
Serving
For an optimal tasting, serve between 7 and 8°C, ideally in an ice bucket.
