The estate

Founded in 2007 by Francine Picard, its current owner and director, the Au Pied du Mont Chauve estate quickly established itself as a benchmark in Burgundy. Covering some 30 hectares of certified organic vines farmed biodynamically, the estate embodies an unwavering pursuit of excellence and respect for the environment. Under its owner's leadership, the estate crafts terroir-driven wines of great precision that capture the full richness and diversity of the climats of the prestigious Côte de Beaune.

The vineyard

The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Demoiselles" comes from a sub-climat of the renowned Caillerets terroir. Ideally facing south-south-east at an altitude of around 150 metres, the vines thrive on well-drained soils of marl and very stony colluvial deposits of brown limestone. This exceptional terroir offers optimal growing conditions, ensuring a perfect balance between aromatic richness and mineral tension. This 0.14-hectare plot is notably home to very old vines, some 70 years of age.
