An elegant and complex Beaune Premier Cru
The estate
Founded in 1750 by Simon Verry, the Chanson House is among the oldest in Burgundy. Owned by the Bollinger group since 1999 and led by Vincent Avenel since 2017, it farms an extensive vineyard spread between the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise. Based in the 15th-century medieval Bastion in the heart of Beaune, Chanson stands out for its pioneering commitment to organic farming since 2000 and for showcasing the prestigious Clos des Fèves.
The vineyard
The Beaune Grèves 1er Cru comes from the largest Cru on the central hill of Beaune. East-facing, this terroir is characterized by soils composed of sand, very small stones (gravel) and silt, giving the wine its distinctive minerality and hallmark elegance.
The vintage
The 2022 vintage in Burgundy proved generous in volume. Harvest took place from August 30 to September 13, 2022, making it possible to pick grapes of excellent quality.
Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir.
