2010 Corton-Charlemagne Grand-Cru
Chardonnay vines growing on top of Corton hill produced the distinguished and intense 2010 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru. The contrasted year ended with an Indian summer, allowing for accelerated maturation. The combination of favorable weather conditions and limestone-clay soils bring substantial minerals and lovely acidity to Domaine Chanson's release. Aged 15 months in oak, this Burgundy wine, displays a pale golden hue as well as very delicate aromas. The nose exudes flowers and fruity notes, as well as hints of honey, spices, and subtle mineral. The palate is complex and very generous, full, vibrant, and precise, leading to a scrumptious finish.
