This 2014 Chateau Batailley is frank. It offers an aromatic freshness on the nose, on very clear aromas of smashed blackberry, blackcurrant juice and rare wood. The palate is the one of a Pauillac: sappy structure with strong tannins, yet dense, that give the wine a masculine side without being aggressive. The finish is dense and fruity. It is a solid wine made for ageing.
