Chateau Clarisse Cuvee Vieilles Vignes is a red wine produced in the Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion appellation covering 15.5 hectares. The vines are, on average, 65 years old and planted on a plateau made of clay-limestone and silty-clay. The grape varieties grown are 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
Chateau Clarisse Cuvee Vieilles 2014 has a beautiful ruby red colour with brilliant reflections. The nose is elegant and sophisticated with aromas of white fruits (nectarines, vine-grown peaches), subtle floral notes (irises, violets & lilacs) and truffles. Chateau Clarisse Cuvee Vieilles Vignes 2014 is robust and powerful. Its freshness is balanced thanks to the salinity of the soil. The tannins are chalky, powdery and embody magnificence.
