The Power and Freshness of a Great Right Bank Red
Located on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region, near the Dordogne River, Château d’Aiguilhe is one of the most emblematic vineyards of the Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation.
Joining the Comtes Von Neipperg property in 1998, Stephan Von Neipperg and his team have worked with determination and vigour to express the exceptional terroir of this prestigious and historical Château, through wines with their own identity.
The harvest took place between September 21 and October 7, and the Château d'Aiguilhe 2017 blend is dominated by the flagship black red variety of the Right Bank, Merlot (90%), which is supplemented with Cabernet Franc (10%). The wines were aged in only 30% new barrels, allowing for a pure expression of fresh fruit in this great Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 d'Aiguilhe features notions of baked plums, black cherries and mulberries with hints of underbrush, bouquet garni and tobacco with a waft of cast-iron pan. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is coated with expressive black fruit layers and loads of earthy suggestions, framed by fine-grained tannins, finishing long and refreshing.
