Mainly composed of Mourvèdre ( about 60%), Hommage à Jacques Perrin 2012 has an extraordinary concentration and possesses, without a doubt, a serious ageing potential. This Châteauneuf-du-Pape frankly and strongly releases generous aromas of dark berries, spices, leather and game. On the palate, this Château de Beaucastel cuvée is a true ode to Mourvèdre. This wine has weight with an important breadth, revealing a noble, thick and persistent tannic structure. It is a straightforward and full-bodied Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with nice prospects. Moreover, The Wine Advocate review suggests to open it starting from 2018.
